Videojet printer problems

In all the years of doing repairs on Videojet Exel based printers, the new type of issues continue to pop up now and again. There are many typical problems that are easily diagnosed and repaired but sometimes there are just HUGE issues that make you pull out your hair. I've had a few of these over the last little bit and am encountering one right now.
For some reason, one of my customers is continually having misdirected ink streams on both of their printers. This is normally caused by foreign matter within the nozzle which just rolls around and intermittently causes the ink stream to be directed either up, down, left or right from its' aimed path. This causes "Phasing Faults" and "No Signal Faults". By changing out the nozzle you can eliminate the problem. This has worked in the past but the problem keeps coming back. We are now at the conclusion that the ink (made by the OEM) is the problem.
I have to now convince the customer to change ink brands and use the one that I sell in order to find out if this is indeed, the problem.
I spoke with one of their in house mechanics and he is going to relay this information to his boss who will hopefully, order some new ink.
Let's cross our fingers!
